When you are ready to activate your phone and are porting in your existing phone number you will start by visiting our activation site. You should see this screen:
You will click the top circular button that says "Request Activation of your boom! Mobile service"
After you have clicked this button new options will appear:
After you enter your Customer Number or Activation Code in the upper box and your email address (the email used on your initial order) you can select "I am Porting my number from another carrier (I do not want a new phone number, I am bringing my current phone number with me to boom! Mobile)". After this click "Continue to Request Activation". This will take you to the final step with several pre-populated fields. It will look something like this:
After you have filled in all fields with an Orange Asterisks next to them and checked all pre-populated information you can click the blue "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen. You will get a message after a few minutes notifying you if the port request was sent successfully or if there was an error. If there was an issue you will need to contact us so that we can further assist. You can reach us via chat, email, or by calling us. If the port was submitted successfully we will now be waiting for your number to be released to Boom. You can check the status by returning to our Activation site and using the third option to check the status of the port request. Ports can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over 4 hours depending on several factors.
